Learn green woodworking skills and make your own three-legged stool in this two-part workshop in a woodland setting. In the first session you will make your stool seat and legs. The legs are then dried before fitting, at the next session. Participants will be guided through basic whittling techniques with the draw-knife and travisher, and how to wedge a leg into the stool top. You’ll learn about some of the ancient traditions of green woodworking in a stunning outdoor setting.

Please note

  • All materials and tools will be provided.
  • This class is held over two days from 10am-3pm and is weather dependent. You must be able to make the rain dates too: 
    • Part 1: 28 April & Part 2: 12 May (rain date: 5 May / 19 May)
    • Part 1: 25 May & Part 2: 8 June (rain dates: 26 May / 9 Jun)
  • A refund will not be given if the first dates are cancelled due to weather and you cannot make the rain date.
  • This workshop is suitable for adults and only suited to those who can work safely without direct supervision with very sharp hand tools. 

Cancellation

Bookings are non-refundable. If for any reason (this includes illness, travel delays and injuries) you need to cancel your workshop, you will receive a refund minus a $30 administration fee. This is provided you contact us at least 14 full days before your booking
