This experience offers a perfect introduction to green woodworking, beginning with the creation of your own clothes pegs from locally harvested hazel rods. Using hand tools, you’ll discover the properties of greenwood, building confidence in shaping freshly cut wood while learning the basics of this timeless craft. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a set of handcrafted pegs and the foundational skills to continue your green woodworking journey.

*Peg making is not able to be purchased on behalf of someone else or as a gift. You must be the one participating in the workshop.

Please note:

This workshop is only suited to adults and those who can work safely without direct supervision with very sharp hand tools. The image below shows the kinds of tools we’ll be using.
