Mar 24, 10am-4pm
Warm, cosy, and completely unique, these slippers will keep your feet snug all winter long. Learn how to make felt slippers to fit your own feet using natural, un-dyed, Aotearoa wool and traditional felt-making techniques, combining wool, soap and water to make a durable fabric. The felt-making skills taught in this session will be able to be applied to many other items.
Please note:
Please bring two towels (old bath towels are fine).
It is a good idea to bring a spare bag for your towel and slippers as they may still be wet after the workshop.
Please bring a bar of soap - any type of soap is fine, but note you will have it on your hands a lot of the time.
All other materials and tools will be provided.
This workshop is suitable for adults.
